Garen was born and raised in Kenosha, WI.  He began performing as a student at Mary D. Bradford High School, gaining recognition at the International Thespian Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  He went on to graduate with High Honors from the University of Michigan (BFA Musical Theatre), winning the distinguished Alan Eisenberg Award, presented to one graduating senior in the Musical Theatre Department.

A proud member of Actors’ Equity, Garen has performed in various roles in New York City and across the country.   He worked in Japan as a concert singer for Disney On Classic, performing with the prestigious Orchestra Japan.  Additionally, Garen spent time teaching and developing young artists in Pune, India, volunteering with ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty) and the Teach For India organization.

He currently lives in New York City.  When not modeling or performing, you will find Garen at the EVF Performance or Crossfit Dynamix gyms, where he is a certified personal trainer and Level 1 Certified Crossfit Coach.
